TUPPER LAKE - The town board will hold a hearing today on the salary of town Highway Superintendent Bill Dechene.

Dechene was the only one - besides the town board - not given a raise in the final version of the town budget, which was passed at the board's November meeting. Three board members said at the meeting that they didn't know Dechene was left out of the raises, and they set today's hearing so his salary could reflect the same raise everyone else is getting.

The hearing begins at 4 p.m. in the lower level of the town hall, 120 Demars Blvd. The regular town board meeting will follow.
