LAKE PLACID - More than 230 runners hit the streets of Lake Placid on Thanksgiving Day to take part in the third annual Adirondack Health Turkey Trot.
Richard Cummings IV was the overall winner, completing the 5-kilometer course in 17 minutes, 36 seconds. Patricia Hurlburt was the first female to cross the line, clocking a time of 19:51.
Joe Merrihew was the second overall finisher in 18:11, followed by the designated "Turkey," who finished in 18:15. Anyone coming in ahead of the Turkey received fresh baked goods.

The top three male and female runners received a frozen turkey.
Kim Doug (20:36), Nina Armstrong (20:38), Gabby Armstrong (21:39) and Renee Lewis (22:00) rounded out the women's top five.
Timothy Stockert (18:30) was the fourth male and Daniel Ifcher was fifth with a time of 18:38.
