To the editor:
I am disappointed and disgruntled by Andre Karl's lack of forethought in his decision to close ADK KinderPals in Lake Placid. He has given his employees and the families who depend on this child-care facility a mere week's notice that they won't be reopening after Thanksgiving. There are about 30 kids whose families are scrambling to find someone to watch them on Friday. With so many parents working in the hospitality industry, staying home with their kids is not feasible during a holiday week. And what about the employees? While some bosses still give a holiday bonus, not Andre Karl! Happy holidays - you have no job!
