The Adirondack Daily Enterprise switched over to a new system for its CU photo gallery website Wednesday - just in time to post pictures of kids in their Halloween costumes.
The new CU is expected to be easier to use.
One major change is that the new site does not have the social-media aspect of the old CU, in which members of the public could create their own CU accounts in order to post their own photos and comment on photos. That aspect of the website hadn't been used frequently.
A trick-or-treater shows off her snack machine costume at the Enterprise Wednesday. This photo, along with
hundreds more of trick-or-treaters, is available on the Enterprise’s new CU website. More photos will also appear in Saturday’s paper.

The Enterprise has switched the company it contracts with to provide the system, from myCapture to SmugMug.
On Wednesday, in addition to posting dozens of photos of kids trick-or-treating in downtown Saranac Lake, the Enterprise posted photos of two children's plays, a volunteer effort to help women's clothing store Pink move and a recent celebration of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, among other events.
The site, at cu.adirondackdailyenterprise.com, can be easily accessed from the Enterprise's homepage, www.adirondackdailyenterprise.com.
