Too much uncertainty about Romney

October 31, 2012
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

The economy has been destroyed and is taking its time to recover. Some of the problems inherited by any president are beyond their control, such as gas prices, natural disasters and other market fluctuations.

Multiple wars, deregulated business, corruption and a multitude of other issues have put us where we are today. Bush tried but failed. It will take Obama more than four years to clean up this mess.

John Kerry was accused of flip-flopping, and Bush was re-elected. Mitt Romney gives new meaning to the term flip-flopper. Who is Mitt Romney really? The liberal GOP governor from Massachusetts or "a guy so far right you can't see him on the horizon"?

We cannot afford to return to the failed Bush policies for a clone of the Fox News electorate. As the botched Bush saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." Let's not get fooled again. OBAMA 2012.

Yours truly,

W.J. McLaughlin
