To the editor:
The Little Sisters of the Poor are among the many fine organizations that will be threatened by Obamacare, particularly because of the Health and Human Services mandate against the sisters' First Amendment right to religious liberty.
Since they will not violate their conscience, such as covering abortion-inducing drugs with their health insurance for their employees, they will be imposed with penalties which would cause all of their U.S. homes, including in New York state, serious financial difficulties, effective Jan. 1, 2014. Like all Catholic charities, the Little Sisters of the Poor helps needy people of all faiths.
Remember this when you go to the polls on Nov. 6. Vote for candidates who oppose Obamacare so that we have a good chance to repeal it.
