To the editor:
What's on all of our minds? What are people angry about? Just about everything! We feel that the government never puts us at the top of the list, from the president on down to our local officials ignoring us and seldom taking action on what we ask for ... unless you are loaded with money, of course.
When Tom Catillaz was mayor, I had a problem that I wrestled with the village for months with, and I got no action. A municipal housing authority had extended its flower garden, complete with small boulders into the street. I even asked them to remove them, and they said no. In desperation, I hunted for Mayor Catillaz, whom I barely know. He said in his gruff voice, "Give me two days." The very next day, a village loader came and took the rocks and the dirt, and the rest is history. I barely know Tommy, but I surely will vote for him. He gave me action, not lip service.
