TUPPER LAKE - A local teenager who was already charged with making a pornographic video with one child was charged Monday with making another.

The Tupper Laker was 17 when police searched his personal items this summer, but he turned 18 in early September. He was charged in August with possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony, use of a child in a sexual performance, a class C felony, and endangering the welfare of a child and forcible touching, both class A misdemeanors.

On Monday, he was brought to Tupper Lake from Franklin County Jail in Malone, where he's been since his first court appearance, to be given an additional class E felony charge of possession of a sexual performance by a child.

The teen's first alleged victim was an 11-year-old boy, and the second was a 14-year-old boy, Tupper Lake police Chief Tom Fee told the Enterprise.

The charges are a result of an ongoing investigation between the Tupper Lake Police Department and the state police Computer Crimes Unit's Northern Unit in Ray Brook.

Fee said state police are looking for videos on a number of different devices, "everything from Xboxes to floppy disks to cell phones." The most recent video was found on a cell phone. Then police were challenged with identifying the victim.

Fee said more charges could be coming for the teen.

"The computer crimes people are still now going through stuff; plus we've had some other leads," Fee said. "It's still open. Unfortunately, it does take time for all this stuff."

Police released the teen's name, but the Enterprise generally doesn't print the names of people who may be eligible for youthful offender status when an alleged crime is committed before the person turns 18.

The teen was remanded back to Franklin County Jail and scheduled to appear in village court Nov. 5.
