Kassandra Rae Sauvie and Daniel Jordan Romeyn were married at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Charlie's Inn in Lake Clear by the Honorable Justice of the Peace Roger P. Symonds, Jr., the groom's uncle.
The bride is the daughter of Patti and Clay Sauvie of Saranac Lake. The groom is the son of Debra Romeyn of Vermontville and Tom Romeyn of Gabriels.
For her wedding, the bride wore a fitted, white floor length trumpet style, silk taffeta gown with embellishments and a great deal of beaded detail. She wore a tiara of small diamonds and pearls and carried white and turquoise carnations with white silk ribbon around the stems.
The bride's maid of honor was her sister, Krysta Sauvie of Newark, Delaware. The bridesmaids were the bride's aunt, Amy Wenske of Lake Clear, Jessica Murphy of Plattsburgh, Melissa Lincoln of Saranac Lake and Jessica Soujanin or Rochester. They wore black dresses with a turquoise sash and carried white carnations with turquoise silk ribbon around the stems. Flower girl and attendant to the bride was the bride's cousin, Taylor Wenske. She wore a white, full knee length satin dress. Flower girls Cheyenne and Amanda Pelkey, nieces of the groom, wore black dresses with a turquoise sash and carried white baskets filled with silk rose petals.
The groom's best man was his brother, Cory Romeyn of Gabriels. The groomsmen were Jon Law, Jordon Law, Ross Manny and James Neale, all of Saranac Lake. Ring bearers were the bride's cousin, Robert Wenske and Braiden Romeyn, nephew of the groom.
Following the wedding, a reception was held outdoors at Charlie's Inn. Music was provided by DJ Bill Cassell and Phil LaBree. Video was done by Phil LaBree. The wedding cake and cupcakes were made by Donna Demers. The flowers were done by All Seasons Floral in Lake Clear.
The newlyweds honeymooned at the Whiteface Inn Lodge in Lake Placid.
The bride and groom are both 2008 graduates of Saranac Lake High School and studied at North Country Community College. Kassandra is employed at Mount Carmel Day Care in Cabot, Arkansas. Daniel is a Senior Airman of the United States Air Force and works in Air Transportation.
The couple currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas.
