SARANAC - Amy LoTemplio scored on a pass from Kristen Napper midway through the second overtime Monday to give the Saranac girls soccer team a 4-3 Northern Soccer League Division I victory over Saranac Lake on Monday.

Saranac Lake sophomore Sheila Decker tied the game with 15 minutes left in regulation on a direct kick. Jenny Ward accounted for the Red Storm's other two goals.

The Chiefs struck first when LoTemplio dished off to Kaitlyn Bowman 11 minutes into the game. Saranac Lake answered when Ward sent home a Megan Moody pass to tie the game at 1-1, but Bowman connected again to give Saranac a 2-1 lead at halftime.

Ward scored her second goal three minutes into the second half on a pass from Katey Snyder. The Chiefs answered again, though, Amelia Jenks scoring from Summer Gillespie.

Saranac held a 24-19 advantage in shots taken. Red Storm goalkeeper Regan Kieffer turned away 12 shots, while Jamie Favreau stopped eight for the Chiefs.
