SARANAC LAKE - In preparation for the upcoming ski and snowshoe season, Dewey Mountain Recreation Center will hold its first of three volunteer trail work days from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Dewey Mountain will unveil new trail signs and move them to their new homes on the trails with the help of volunteers.
Volunteers will need to bring water, lunch and appropriate clothing for working outside.
The new signs were purchased with a grant from the North Country Healthy Heart Network and were constructed by Demong Designs. The signs are intended to honor the names of those who have played a part in Dewey's history, to make trails easier to follow and to make it safer for all who use the trails at Dewey.
