To the editor:
I recently had a medical emergency and would like to commend the following: the emergency squad and the EMTs, the ER staff at the local medical center, the third-floor nurses and staff, the food service staff and Dr. Buck. I hope I haven't overlooked anyone.
My situation was handled in a personal and professional manner that was appeciated by me and my family. No one likes to spend time in the hospital, but if hospital care is required, you can't beat Adirondack Medical Center.
Now, some tips on making your stay more enjoyable. Request a private room. Ask that the door be kept closed. Turn the heat down. Run the AC on fan only to circulate the air. Turn the TV to channel 16 and set the volume for "white noise." Ask for something to help you sleep. Doing the preceeding allowed me to get a great night's sleep.
