To the editor:
We're going to be getting less for Medicare under Obamacare. According to new data from an organization called the American Action Network, Congressman Bill Owens cut over $1.24 billion from Medicare in our district by supporting Obamacare.
Obamacare has made American health care worse, and now Medicare is even more likely to go bankrupt. Why does Mr. Owens think cutting Medicare in order to pay for Obamacare will improve our health care system? It's one thing to force a broken health care system on your constituents; it's quite another to cut a service that seniors depend on for their health in order to pay for it.
Families are hurting to support themselves right now; do they really need another tax? Do seniors really need less Medicare coverage when they can barely afford their prescriptions? I'm no expert on health care, but it seems strange to me that a health care system that was supposed to help more people get care is actually taking services away from people who need it most.
