LAKE PLACID - Community Theatre Players Inc. presents "An Improv Comedy Workshop for Adults and Teens" with New York City improv actor Ross Taylor on Saturday, Sept. 29, in the Lake Placid Center for the Arts Annex Building.
Improv comedy is a spontaneous, energizing, thought-provoking exercise for adults interested in comedy, acting, writing or public speaking.
The fee is $40 for the entire six-hour workshop or $25 for "Intro to Improv" only.
Course breakdown:
-10 a.m. to 1 p.m., "Intro to Improv": exercises, simple games and guided scenes
-2 to 5 p.m., "Intro to Long-form," the basics of putting together a 15-minute set
