September 13, 2012
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

INDIAN LAKE - Indian Lake Theater, in partnership with Richard and Patricia Dudley of Dudley & Dudley Certified Appraisers, will host an antiques appraisal on Saturday, Sept. 15, starting at 10 a.m. and continuing, with a short break, until 3 p.m.

Dudley & Dudley specialize in the appraisal of fine art; antiques, particularly period American furniture and decorative arts including silver, needlework, samplers and quilts; textiles including historic dress and high-end couture; historical documents; rare books and entire estates. They are the only certified personal property appraisers operating in the Adirondacks.

Also this weekend, the Adirondack Mountains Antiques Show is being held, with vendors selling rustic and camp furniture, hunting and fishing antiques, boats and more across town.

Admission is free; there is a $5 charge per item to be appraised.

Those wishing to have large pieces of furniture appraised should bring pictures and/or a drawer, if from a chest, cabinet, or table.
