To the editor:
Republicans, get out and vote on Primary Day, Sept. 13. Vote for Janet Duprey, our incumbent New York State Assemblywoman. She is an awesome advocate for the North Country. She has spent her adult life in service to others. She is North Country born and raised, and understands the issues affecting the entire area.
She has served as a volunteer throughout her life and career in so many organizations: Apple Valley Senior Housing Corp., Champlain Valley Business & Professional Women's Club, Clinton Community College and SUNY Plattsburgh nursing advisory committees, League of Women Voters, CVPH Board of Directors, Hospice of the North Country, Spectrum Advisory Committee, SUNY Plattsburgh, to name just a few.
Politically her experience includes Clinton County legislator for 10 years, county treasurer for 20 years and our New York State Assembly representative since 2007. Think of a life spent in service plus elected office for as long as Janet has, and consider all the folks she knows in all the right places as a result of her having worked with them over the years. It is no wonder she is so successful in helping individuals, organizations and businesses when we/they call. Her help in keeping the Paul Smiths interpretive center open and the Adirondack Club and Resort project for Tupper Lake alive are huge examples of what Janet has done for us.
The bipartisan Unshackle Upstate, comprised of business and trade organizations across the state, gave Janet a score of 93 for her votes in support of two consecutive fiscally responsible state budgets and voting for legislation that promotes job growth and builds the economy - something we all want!
Your vote for Janet Duprey on Primary Day, Thursday, Sept. 13, is a vote for the North Country and a better New York.
