SARANAC LAKE - The Bloomingdale Fire Department and the Elks Lodge #1508 teams advanced to the Major League's championship game of the Saranac Lake Youth Baseball Association with semifinal wins Thursday.

The top-ranked Bloomingdale Fire Department squad remained unbeaten and moved on with a 12-7 win over Teddy's Ice Cream in a contest played in Bloomingdale. Meanwhile, in Saranac Lake, the Elks Club mounted an amazing comeback to post a 15-14 victory over Upstate Auto.

In that game, the Elks plated 10 runs in their final at-bat to erase a 13-5 deficit and then held on after Upstate Auto pushed one run across the plate in the bottom of the sixth in a rally attempt. Upstate Auto had the bases loaded when the game ended on a ground out to Elks pitcher Jarrett Ashton.
