Big Slyde will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, June 15 at The Recovery Lounge in Upper Jay. The suggested donation is $10. Building on the foundation of guitar and cello, enhanced by the bouzouki, banjo and dobro, the original music of Big Slyde includes John Doan’s new-grass and jam-grass inspired banjo, dobro and dojo with Mikey Portal’s Latin-influenced roots-rock guitar grooves, Christina Grant’s funky cello and the rhythmic bouzouki and smokey vocals of Hannah Doan.
