LAKE PLACID - High Peaks Resort General Manager Don Reaser announced the appointment of Mark McCabe as the hotel's director of sales and marketing.
McCabe brings 20 years of hospitality and tourism experience, having most recently served as director of sales for the DoubleTree by Hilton in Rochester. Prior to his term there, he directed the Tour and Travel Department at Wyndham Vacation Resorts, overseeing 200 associates in various sales and service functions for shared ownership products.
Prior to that, he served as senior manager of customer sales and service for North America's largest wholesale tour operator, Certified Vacations - doing business as American Express Vacations, Continental Airline Vacations and Delta Vacations.
A native Floridian, McCabe holds degrees in hospitality management and travel and tourism from Palm Beach State College and Florida International University, respectively.
McCabe enjoys golf, camping, fishing and water sports. He and his family will reside in Lake Placid and look forward to being actively involved in the various local community and professional organizations.
