Interior design firm relocates to Tupper Lake

Adirondack Daily Enterprise

TUPPER LAKE - In anticipation of the Adirondack Club and Resort in Tupper Lake, Shon Parker and Tim Coughlin of Shon Parker Design have opened a location for their interior design firm and relocated to the community of Tupper Lake.

Upon graduating college, Parker designed showroom spaces for a small, high-end couture company and then worked as a designer for Baker Furniture.

Inspired, Parker created a pottery collection and crafted under his own label. His travels in the states and abroad have had a big influence on all his works as well as local flavor of the surrounding areas where the project is located.

The driving concept of the firm is to create timeless, emotionally evocative interiors that reflect the vision and needs of their clients. Parker oversees his projects with great humor and respect.

Following the 10 years with Baker Furniture, Parker launched his own company, Shon Parker Design Inc., in 2000.

Parker's interiors can be seen in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Washington, North Carolina, Washington D.C., New York and most recently the Lake Placid Lodge and the offices for the Adirondack Club and Resort in Tupper Lake.

Coughlin, a native of Watertown and Malone, is the vice president of Shon Parker Design Inc. Coughlin's connection to the area prompted the recent opening of their business in Tupper Lake.

For more information on the business, at 91 Park St., Tupper Lake, call 518-837-7171 or visit www.shonparker.com.
