TUPPER LAKE - Police are investigating the Sunday death of a patient at the Sunmount Developmental Disabilities Services Office.
State police Investigator Scott Hite said the investigation is ongoing, so he couldn't provide any details like a cause of death or whether he anticipates any criminal charges in the case. He said the incident was reported at about 1 p.m. Sunday through a 911 call, but he wasn't sure from whom.
He wouldn't release the name of the "consumer," as Sunmount residents are called, because police are still tracking down family members, but he did say the resident was a 48-year-old man.
