LAKE PLACID - Heading into the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season, the Lake Placid volleyball will have depth and some experience as the Blue Bombers look to be competitive against traditonal powerhouses in the league.
A combination of five returning seniors and seven players moving up from junior varsity fill out the Lake Placid roster, and head coach Donna Moody said the team has been working hard in the preseason while preparing for its second year of fall volleyball.
"I'm sure the traditional powerhouses like Beekmantown, Plattsburgh and Northern Adirondack are going to be really good again this season, and one of our goals is to be competitive with those teams," Moody said. "With the lineup we have, I think we can be.
