April 5, 2011
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

LAKE PLACID - Third-graders from Lake Placid Elementary School hit the track Monday afternoon for an opportunity to slide down the luge track at Mount Van Hoevenberg.

The event was part of a three-day after-school luge program that continues today and Wednesday. Fourth-graders will participate today, followed by fifth-graders on Wednesday.

It is expected that by the time the program ends, approximately 70 students will have had an opportunity to try the sport of luge.
