Charles and Theresa Smith of Mount Laurel, NJ, are proud to announce the engagement of their oldest daughter, Christine Nicole Smith, to Kyle Joseph McKenna, son of Lisa McKenna of Saranac Lake, NY and Denis McKenna of Lake Placid, NY.
The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Lenape High School, Medford, NJ, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and History from Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ, in 2005. She is currently employed as a 2nd grade teacher for Martin County School District in Florida.
The groom-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Saranac Lake High School, Saranac Lake, NY, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Social Studies from SUNY Oswego, Oswego, NY, in 2006. He is currently employed as a 5th grade teacher for St. Lucie County School District in Florida.
Kyle and Christine met three years ago at a gathering of friends, and quickly became friends. They are now inseparable and plan to spend their lives together and someday start a family.
Kyle proposed to Christine on November 12, 2010 at the International Food and Wine Festival at Disney World. Previously getting her father's permission and approval, Christine happily accepted.
Both of their families are extremely happy for the two of them, and wish them nothing but love and happiness as they start the next chapter of their lives together.
The couple will marry in 2011 and will reside in their home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
