Woman charged in fatal crash
POTSDAM - State police arrested a Potsdam woman after investigating a fatal two-car crash in June in which they say both drivers were drunk.
Lori A. Grant, 27, of Norwood, was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired by drugs. A blood analysis determined her blood alcohol concentration was .12 percent and also showed the presence of marijuana and hydromorphone.
John Purvis, 56, of Norwood, was killed in the collision. A blood analysis determined his blood alcohol concentration to be .17 percent.
At 12:24 a.m. June 20, Purvis was driving a 2004 Toyota Prius north on state Route 56 in the town of Potsdam when his vehicle entered the southbound lane, striking Grant's 2000 Plymouth Neon head on.

A "Princess" would have her DWI charges dropped, after highly trained State Police Officers "forget" their testimony in open court, like in the Nancy Reich case. This looks like justice to me. Waiting 2 months to press charges is unusual, but it looks like they got it right as far as the charges are concerned. If State Troopers forget their testimony again, I'll have to agree that she probably is a princess. Heck, she could be sober for the next 28 years and still not be as old as the drunk driver who hit her...
