Sylvia McGahay of Loudonville, NY announces the engagement of her son William H. McGahay, III to Allison M. Carr, daughter of Edward and Margaret Carr of Winthrop, New York and Evelyn Carr of Winthrop, New York. William is the son of the late William H. McGahay, Jr.
The future groom received a BA degree in Political Science from the State University of NewYork at Albany and served as Deputy Secretary to the Governor for State Operations under Governor George Pataki. He is a partner in the government relations firm Capital Public Strategies, LLC with offices in Albany and Lake Placid, NY.
His fiancee is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego with a BA in Public Justice. She received her JD from Albany Law School in 2004.
