Mr. and Mrs. Alan L. Tuthill of Lake Placid, NY are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Lindsay Marie of New York City to Timothy John Maidment of Durban, South Africa, son of Michael John Maidment and Janet Elspeth Maidment, also of Durban, Africa. Lindsay and Tim were engaged on December 31st, 2008 while vacationing in Capetown, South Africa.
Lindsay graduated from Northwood School in 1998 and Colgate University in 2002 with a B.A. in Economics. In 2008 she received her Ph.D. in Economics from St. Anne's College at Oxford University.
Tim graduated high school from St. Henry's College in Durban, South Africa in 1991 and the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a degree in Business Management and an MBA in 1999. He is currently employed as an Account Executive at the Standard Bank in London, PLC.
