60th Wedding Anniversary: John and Antoinette Koetteritz

John A. Koetteritz and Antoinette H. (Polk) Koetteritz, celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on April 14, 2008. John graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1935 and attended Syracuse University. He is the son of the late Fred and Belle Koetteritz of Ilion, Saranac Lake, and Sidney, New York. He is the grandson of the late John B. vonKoetteritz, of Dolgeville, New York, a strong advocate of the Adirondacks, who compiled the original survey map of the Adirondack State Forest in 1892. Antoinette is the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Polk of Quakertown, Pennsylvania. John and Antoinette were married in Liverpool, New York. John is retired from Bethlehem Steel Corporation and Antoinette works at The Loft at Camelback Ski Area in Tannersville, Pennsylvania The couple celebrated with friends and family at their home at The Village at Camelback in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. From there, they traveled back to Saranac Lake, New York, where they had spent their honeymoon and many family vacations since. They have five children: Antoinette (Ted) Phillips of New Knoxville, OH; John (Pat) Koetteritz of Green Lane, PA; William (Congetta) Koetteritz of Hopkinton, MA; Eric (Mary Kay) Koetteritz of Pottstown, PA; and Frederick (Shona) Koetteritz, of Dillon, CO. They have twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.
