Blue Bombers squad looking for a successful season
LAKE PLACID — With eight players bringing experience back to the lineup, the Lake Placid boys baseball team hopes to improve over the Blue Bombers squad that picked up four victories a year ago, including a triumph in the opening round of sectional play. Under second-year head coach John Fremante, the Blue Bombers are optimistic about their chances for success. “Several of our games were close last year, and I think this year, we have a few more tools to play with that can make a difference in close games,” he said. “The players are more excited about this season as we build our program and focus on the success of last year.” With six players listed on the roster as potentlal pitchers, Lake Placid looks to have plenty of options when it lines up its defense throughout the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference season. Senior James Kordziel will be an impact player in the field and at the plate for the Blue Bombers.
