FIBT World Cup starts today
Lake Placid resident John Napier pilots his four-man bobsled through the 18th curve on Mount Van Hoevenberg’s mile-long track during a training run Wednesday. The 22-year-old Napier will be looking to earn his first World Cup medal on home ice as the Intersport FIBT World Cup Bobsled and Skeleton competition makes a three-day stop in the Olympic Village. Action kicks off today with women’s and men’s skeleton races, then features men’s and women’s bobsled action Saturday and Sunday.
