Two hours to go

November 6, 2012 - Chris Morris
Polls close in about two hours. I don't need to tell you that now is a good time to go vote if you haven't already.

The coffee is on in the break room, and I'm rested up and ready to report results into the early morning hours (or longer if need be).

Here's a couple of things you should be aware of as the evening moves along:

1. A state Supreme Court justice has ordered that votes in the race for New York's 21st Congressional District be impounded. U.S. Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, filed the impound order, according to the Times Union. This means that "election commissioners from each of the 12 counties in the district are required to appear in Albany on Friday, and required to secure all ballots and voting materials," the newspaper reports.

2. Obviously, the Enterprise staff will be tracking election results closely. But for a quick snapshot of the numbers, check out the Election Scoreboard at North Country Public Radio.

Let's keep the conversation going, too. Feel free to share your thoughts at any point this evening, either on this blog or at our Facebook page. You can also follow me on Twitter, or email me at cmorris@adirondackdailyenterprise.com.

Or, give me a ring at 518-891-2600 ext. 25.
