| | Pataki officially endorses DohenyNovember 5, 2012 - Chris MorrisThis shouldn't come as a huge surprise - given that earlier this morning I told you George Pataki will be in Lake Placid to stump for Doheny today - but the former Republican governor of New York has officially endorsed Matt Doheny for New York's 21st Congressional District. The Doheny campaign announced the endorsement in a press release moments ago. Doheny hopes to unseat U.S. Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, in Tuesday's election. "Anyone who's spent much time around Matt isn't surprised to learn that he's a successful businessman who's saved thousands of jobs and helped dozens of companies grow," Pataki said in a prepared statement. "They're not surprised to see that Matt has made this race a dead heat. It's because he's one of the hardest working people you'll ever meet. He's worked for every single vote, and that's why the North Country is going to send Matt Doheny to Congress tomorrow." Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
