Fun with campaign signs

November 1, 2012 - Chris Morris
Saranac Lake photographer Mark Kurtz has a fun photo essay on campaign signs over at North Country Public Radio's website today.

For me, campaign signs have always been a head-scratcher. It's one thing when a homeowner places them in their front yard: They're practicing their freedom of speech and announcing to the world who they're supporting.

But what about the signs placed along highways and at busy intersections? It seems like campaign funds could be used more effectively, or at least in a way that gets a message out to voters about a candidate's views, beliefs, etc.

Feel free to share your thoughts.
