This is their standard bearer

September 18, 2012 - John Stack
The bottom has finally been hit. Mitt Romney should either just how low he will go to get certain people to vote for him, or he’s shown how truly ignorant and soulless he is. To quote :” There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.” I’m not sure if there is a worse cultural warfare comment one can make. If you don’t make enough money for Romney’s likes, as he says, you are dependent on the government. You believe you are a victim. You believe the government must take care of you. You are so entitled; you believe the government should give you food, shelter and housing.Everything. The 150 million plus Americans who pay no income tax are just parasites. They MUST only vote for Obama, as of course poor dumb entitled people must only want to be taken care of the government. Make no mistake – this statement by Mittens was designed to elicit a feeling of hatred towards Democrats, treating poor people as leeches and to create the image of democrats/poor people as lazy do nothings. Fortunately, he’s as wrong as can be. As approximately half the population identifies as democrat, and half as Republican, think of everyone you know. Are half of them a drag on the economy? Half of them must not be working, just waiting for the government to take care of them. HALF the people you know. You mother/father/grandparents – if they don’t make enough to pay net positive income taxes, they are lowlife loser parasites. You grandfather who worked 50 years and is now in a nursing home, or maybe even you are taking care of him. Leech. He only wants the government to take care of him. And buy him cool stuff that he doesn’t have to pay for. We all know at 75 and frail health he should be out there working 3 jobs and 80 hours a week so he isn’t such a burden on society and is making enough to actually pay income taxes. Nope. 50 years of working as a miner/bus driver/nurse/carpenter to just get a $15,000 social security payment? He is a sucking democrat. Either of my grandmothers would smack Romney for his crass mean spirited diatribe. One grandmother raised 12 kids with a mostly absent husband. She had her own hairdressing shop. At any one time, probably had 7-9 or more kids at home. Probably didn’t pay income taxes with that many credits. Not abject poor, but not middle class. But also not a burden on society. She didn’t expect the government to give her a house, and everything else. My other grandmother lost her husband (my grandfather) at about 65. She lived on a meager income at best. But, she paid her own bills. She kept a house up until she was 90. If Mitt Romney told her she felt entitled, that she felt she was a VICTIM, she would have cracked him with a cane, if she ever had reason to use a cane. As disgusting as Romneys remarks are, the stupidity behind the remarks is even worse. He is relying on a tremendous amount – tens of millions – of these poor voters to vote for him. His base is made up of millions of these vermin who don’t pay income taxes. Romney actually doesn’t expect that these millions won’t recognize that he is talking about THEM!! He is relying on it! Of the 10 states with the highest percentage of no income tax payers, eight went for the GOP in 2008.Also, probably the biggest reason there are more nonpayers, is because Bush – and the Republicans - actually doubled the earned income tax credit, and actually expanded the EITC to more people. For someone only making $12,000 a year , there isn’t much tax to be paid in the first place ( 15% = $1,800 and that’s almost completely erased just by a head of houshold deduction). Giving them an extra one or 2 thousand via EITC easily wipes away any tax liability. If there is a party responsible for this class of ‘non-payers’ it would be that one party identified by a large elephant. If Mittens had meant something other than what I have described, he wouldn’t have said it. If he said it to excite the base, this is what we call a completely classless and sociopathic person. Mitt has hinted around to what kind of person he is, and how he feels. We now know in spades.
