| | Doheny on AkinSeptember 5, 2012 - Chris MorrisMatt Doheny says remarkably few people have asked him for his thoughts on recent remarks by Rep. Todd Akin regarding rape and abortion. “I have nothing but anger,” he told me recently. “It’s reprehensible. This guy has got to get out of the race. I don’t care. He’s got to get out. He should drop out of the race, no one should give him a dime – full stop.” On whether abortion be allowed after instances of rape, Doheny said, “I always say I’m going to get a pro-life voting record in Congress (based) on what actually comes up on the floor of Congress. That issue will not come up before Congress.” Doheny said he doesn’t agree with the Republican Party’s proposed ban on all abortions, including rape.
