| | DCCC: More of the same with DohenyJune 28, 2012 - Chris MorrisWith Tuesday's Republican primary in the books, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is going on the offensive. In a release issued this afternoon, the DCCC said Republican congressional candidate Matt Doheny's "positions haven't changed and he has solidified himself as the Tea Party candidate in a race against moderate Bill Owens." The statement says Doheny "continues to surround himself in personal scandals and, if elected, would be a key vote for House Republicans' priorities like protecting Big Oil and companies that ship jobs overseas over protecting the interests of Upstate New York." Josh Schwerin, the DCCC's Northeast press secretary, had this to say: "Last election, Doug Hoffman said he might consider voting for Matt Doheny 'if I died' and none of Matt Doheny's Tea Party agenda has changed since. Matt Doheny is still creating personal scandals for himself, he still stands by his Wall Street past, and he still can't relate to middle class voters - sounds like the same failed Matt Doheny."
