Owens to present on U.S., Canadian growth

May 11, 2012 - Chris Morris
U.S. Rep. Bill Owens will travel to Montreal later this month to present a symposium on economic growth between the U.S. and Canada.

The "Doing Business in the U.S." symposium is slated for May 23 at Concordia University's School of Canadian Irish Studies.

Here's more from a press release issued by Owens' office:

The Ireland-Canada and Plattsburgh-North Country Chambers of Commerce will present a symposium featuring Congressman Bill Owens on economic growth between Canada and the United States. “Doing Business in the U.S.” will include ten business experts from New York State and will highlight discussions on incorporating a U.S. company, financing startups in America, and transporting goods across the northern border. During his talk, Owens will highlight his experience in working to bring Canadian companies to open facilities in Northern New York and hire locally. Members of the Chamber are admitted free, and admission for non-Chamber members is $85. The seminar itself will not be open to media, but an availability will be held after the meeting.
