Congratulate my blog — it won an award!

Ooooookkkkkkk. You may remember how there was a phantom post on here a few months ago about how this blog won an award. I took it down almost right after it went up, because my editor reminded me that we're not supposed to publicize that we won until after the awards are actually given out.

So last night was the New York News Publisher's Association annual awards dinner in Albany. We went, we shmoozed, we ate some lovely food (omg the tortellini was sooooo good) and we came home with our awards. Now we can publicize them.

Here's the story that appeared in the Enterprise today.

I believe the time frame for the award entries lasted from fall 2010-fall 2011, so my entry would have included posts from the inception of this blog last March, when I live-blogged the public hearing, creating an entry for each of the 70-ish people who spoke, plus summaries at the half-time mark and at the end of the day. I believe I also entered key posts from throughout the 19-day adjudicatory hearing, throughout which I was posting — though much less than at that first hearing!

The entry wouldn't have included anything past when the project was presented to the APA board throughout the three months of final review, nor the decision on Jan. 20 of this year. Those will have to go in next year's entry, I guess!
