Ag commish to present state budget

Darrel Aubertine, commissioner of the state Department of Agriculture and Markets, will be in Saranac Lake tomorrow to present Gov. Andrew Cuomo's proposed budget for 2012-13.

Aubertine and other department heads have made similar presentations throughout the state as part of an effort to bring the budget to the people. In fact, state Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Joe Martens did the same presentation in Lake Placid a few weeks ago.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. in the board room at the Harrietstown Town Hall, which is located downstairs near the Assessor's Office. It's being hosted by the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored by Cape Air and Guide Boat Realty.
