New chairwoman plus schedule!

November 10, 2011 - Jessica Collier
Lani Ulrich is the new APA chairwoman!

Here's a story about her voting record on big projects she's seen so far. Waddya think?

Plus there's a new guy appointed to the board. Sherman Craig of Wanakena, which isn't THAT far from Tupper! There's some info about him in this story. What do you think of this choice?

Also, go to the APA website. When you click "agenda" in the upper right corner, you get an agenda for the November meetings next week. It looks like they will be exclusively, totally, all or nothing ACR. Fun! From 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. Can't wait!

They're also expecting a lot of interest, so the Wild Center has offered to show a live webcast over there, so everyone from Tupper doesn't have to haul over to Ray Brook. I wonder if people will actually take them up on that. I feel like the reason people wanted to go to Ray Brook was to show interest or support in the project, and that won't have as much of an impact if commissioners can't see the actual people. But I'm sure it will bring some people who are interested who wouldn't have made the trek all the way to Ray Brook.

Also, we haven't debriefed elections yet. I think if you're going to look at it in terms of ACR, getting an ARISE volunteer on the town AND village board probably says a lot. Patty also has been vocally supportive of the project, but I'm not sure she's ever done volunteering with ARISE. But either way, any thoughts on the elections?
