| | Story in today's paper (for comments)April 27, 2011 - Jessica CollierHere's a link to my story in today's paper on yesterday's testimony. I'm posting this here in case people want to comment, since people are a little stirred up over the proposal by the Council to create a village-type area at the base of the mountain. This opens the story up to anonymous commenting, since our website now only offers commenting on blogs and editorials, so I ask people to please be appropriate in their comments and have an actual discussion rather than just yelling things and making unfounded assertions. A few things I want to note before anyone comments: Dodson was not clear about how many businesses he'd include in the village area, but he made it sound like there wouldn't be a ton more than are already included in the ACR application. Also, this is a general proposal by the Council, and I believe it was to show that there are other ways to lay out the resort. It was by no means a full alternative plan for the resort. If the APA approves the resort, it could potentially include conditions that would require a reconfiguration of the great camps, but Mark Sengenberger yesterday made it sound like he thought that was a bit much to include in the conditions.
