KEENE VALLEY — The Mountaineer gear store in Keene Valley will host its popular Great Adirondack Trail Run on Saturday, June 9.

The 14th annual event — which raises money for the AuSable and Boquett river associations — consists of two runs: an 11.5-mile strenuous run and a 3.5-mile fun run.

The fun run is open to anyone, and people can register as late as the day of the event. But the strenuous run is limited and will sell out quickly. Registration for both runs opens on Tuesday, May 1 by calling The Mountaineer at 518-561-2281.

After the run, there will be food, beer and live music at the Keene Valley Country Club. The post-race party is open to anyone, regardless of participation in the run. The Mountaineer asks that anyone who attends bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Keene Valley Food Bank.
